Madagascar is known as « The green island » because of its richness in terms of biodiversity which must be put in the front line of conservation existence to face the environmental degradation for the conservation of biodiversity and cultures. We care about the positive impact of our existence in the face of environmental degradation. Our company organizes training sessions for people who live around National Parks and protected areas by applying the enhancement of the latter while reducing its negative impact, in order to teach them first of all the value of nature and everything that concerns the community socio-economically speaking, to lead them in better alternatives not only for their current lives, but especially for the conservation of biodiversity. It is high time to act together for the future of Madagascar’s unique nature.

2 Booking and details:
All included things and activities mentioned in the program has to be accomplished and offered but if there is an unexpected situation which doesn’t depend on us, we will suggest you something else instead IF it was not paid in advance.
3 Information before departure:
Please bear in mind that Madagascar is a developing country with an astonishing biodiversity. People are friendly despite their life condition and financial situation. It is always better to encourage them to follow their studies and to valorize their traditions.
4 Passport and VISA:
A valid passport is required while travelling to Madagascar. You can pay for the visa upon arrival and the fee is around 37 $
5 Physical condition for a trip:
Madagascar sighting places are mainly explored by walk and each site has different type of walk from soft to strenuous and from rainforest to dry or spiny forest. Most of them needs good physical conditions but we always find the best way to handle perfectly third age’s people and all kind of disabilities.
6 Checklist of what to bring:
- Keep paper and soft copy of your personal documents with you
- Light walking shoes for the dry forest / Waterproof walking shoes for the rainforest
- European two pins adaptor plug and a small power strip
- Rain gear or poncho for the rainforest
- Binocular and camera equipment’s
- Walking stick
- Headlamp or flashlight with spare batteries for the night activities
- Bugs repellents
- Hat Sunscreen
7 Weather condition:
The best time to visit Madagascar is from April until December because of the rainy season and the strong cyclone which happens from January until March.
Basically, the island is divided in 4 main parts:
a- The rainforest: lining the eastern coast from north to south, do not forget to pack raingear, fast drying pants and long sleeve shirts.
b- The dry deciduous forest: Located along the western part of the island.
c- The grassland in the central south.
d- And the spiny forest in the south.
8 Travel and medical insurance:
All travellers must have travel and medical insurances and please find a good way to understand all about their coverage for your safety. For any kind of incident, our team got trained to handle them and to find out the priorities for our guests.
9 Medical information:
These vaccination certificates are required to enter Madagascar
- Covid-19 vaccination certificate
- Yellow fever vaccination card
Please make sure to pack all medications and pharmaceutical products needed prior to departure, Malaria tablets and mosquito repellent are among the must. As Madagascar is a developing country, you should do vaccination against typhoid, Hepatitis and Rabies for your safety and for a smooth trip. Please provide us all details about your medical antecedents, allergies and all requirements needed to inform your guide and hotels in advance.
10 Foods and drinks:
Madagascar has its own gastronomy mainly based on rice. They appear delicious in many places but we don’t advise you street food as we will never know the way they prepared them. Your guide will recommend you several places where you can enjoy the best local food. It is the same for fruit juice and water, we recommend you to drink bottled water and fruit juice at the advised places. For your dietary requirements, please let us know prior to arrival and we will take special care for every single detail.
11 Safety and emergency:
Like every city in the world, robbery and pickpocketing are in some corners of the main town but these are not the reason to skip the visit of many historical and charming places. The safest way to deal with it is to leave valuable items and important documents in your room safe or the hotel safety deposit box. For most of the time, you will be accompanied and advised by your guide.
12 Flight details:
Being at the airport two to three hours prior to departure is the best for check-in. The company and the guide will do double-checking for the domestic flight which may be subject of schedule change, delay or cancellation.
13 Luggage:
For both international and domestic flights, please put some of your clothing items in your hand luggage as your suitcase may arrive in different flight. For that case, you will feel more comfortable in that way of anticipation.
14 Upon arrival, local currency and gratuities:
Your guide will wait for you in the crowd outside by holding YOUR NAME WRITTEN ON A SPECIAL LIGHT GREEN BOARD. The local currency is called Ariary (MGA) 1USD ~ 4000Ar, 1EUR ~ 4500Ar The rate will get lower as you drive away from the capital. We advise you to have local money for your personal expenses and the excluded meals. US Dollar and Euro are mostly accepted along the journey and the same for Visa and MasterCard. Please ask your guide for more details about their uses. We do not have any gratuity rate in Madagascar but if you are satisfied of a service at a restaurant, 5 to 10% of the bill will make it. For the local guide, tour guide and/or Driver, We leave them up to your satisfaction and you can use Euro, US Dollar or Ariary for that. All remaining Ariary at the end of the tour are possible to be converted back to Euro or US Dollar.
15 Walk and drive:
Most of Madagascar’s wonders are explored by walk and there are different types of trails in every sighting place. The guide will do a sharing about how to manage the walk and the timing because you need to enjoy your holyday in the MORAMORA manner. We mostly use cars to connect one place to another and the road conditions are not the same everywhere you travel. Roads are mostly paved and twisty but there are potholes and bumps. Anyhow, you will forget everything as soon as you explore our nature and that will remain a memory of a Lifetime.
